META Yogyakarta held an online flipgrid workshop for English teachers on Thursday, October 28, 2021. This activity is a monthly program that was previously scheduled. The event, which was attended by 28 active English teachers, aims to renew the teacher's ability to use online-based learning applications.
The activity which lasted for two hours and 30 minutes attracted the teacher's attention. The teacher managed to explore some of the flipgrid features well and shared their class code with other teachers. The use of this flipgrid application will be used for the daily program. Previously, English teachers had successfully used the bookcreator application in the daily program.
In his opening remarks for the flipgrid training, Joshua Subandriyo as the supervisor of META Yogyakarta emphasized the importance of English teachers in updating their ability to use technology. "Teachers need to integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum instead of viewing it as add-on, an afterthought, or an event" he explained.
